I've been performing with an orchestra for more than 10 years. The last 5 years i've been working in Cairo and freestyling to live music - without preparation, at large events, in front of hundreds of viewers.
I wasn't born with an ability to hear music and dance like an Egyptian, but had been learning to do it for many years. There's all my knowledge and experience in this course. Only necessary information. Straight to the point. Without useless details.

  • The course was very useful. New information. Very useful the rules of improvisation about counts for every rhythm and also the steps for each rhythm. Also in the livestreams we could get more information about questions we had from the course so this was very helpful, the direct communication. Anastasia has lots of knowledge and a great way to explain as a teacher and dancer along with lots of patience and various examples in her way of teaching.

  • First of alla Anastasia is a talented dancer and incredible teacher! It is difficult to combine both qualities, but she absolutely does!! Her course was a luck for me.
I discovered bellydance again, I forced myself to definitely establish weekly hours just for me to dedicate to dance. At the beginning it was challenging, but I strove myself to get disciplined and I finally could see real results. I have never though about being able to improvise 3 minutes without getting nervous about what to do. Her method is so clear and detailed that it turns really easy to start practicing. And then, it is just about keeping it!
The all course is well done and logically structured, in order to be able to improve technique while refreshing previous knowledges. It details lots of most frequent used rhythms and Anastasia gradually explains respectively steps, turns, body and hands movements. She danced each piece both with basic rhythm first and with melody later. It was wonderful to discover myself being able to follow her and I love so much the time spend with her video classes that I am looking forward to repeat the entire course again and again! Now I really enjoy seeing how each time I improvise differently, a really delighting moment!
I really fell I learned not only about rhythms but also how to break up in my mind melody and rhythm, how to use correct steps, how to split the music into parts, which instruments I should follow in each moment, how to not stop while dancing, how to communicate with audience and orchestra. All this allowed me to enjoy the time spent while dancing! Anastasia is so humble and willing to solve all student's doubts as each week she finds time to organize an hour Instagram direct in a private group in order to help us. It was also interesting to learn so many things about shows and competitions she told us about during these directs.
The final week with the entire orchestra and so many instruments was just amazing!!! I think it is the only course in the world with this feature and it is so relevant for a bellydancer who wants to improve self technique and has not the possibility to travel, as it is not just about dance, but also about recognizing instruments, their features and sounds. Anastasia explained us when follow one instrument or another and she gave us lots of important knowledges about communication with orchestra during live improvisations. I consider it is also good to underline that there is the possibility to join this course both in Russian or English language. I personally selected English and it was a great surprise to find out it was translated entirely by a native speaker ! This helped me so much to understand exactly what Anastasia meant and what she wanted to convey us. I personally think this course really worth it and I suggest to all those bellydancers who like Egyptian Style to join it as they can really reach a high level in their dance thanks to a fabulous enchanting dancer and international bellydance teacher, simply at home!

  • The Course brought a great change in My dancing style. Earlier I used to listen to only modern musics but now after gaining knowledge of different rhythms I feel confident to try out all the music tracks out there. As i hail from different country ( India ) it was little challenging for me at the beginning . Being a dancer i just had some practical knowledge on the choreographies done. All Thanks to Anastasia for designing this course , this has given a new way to pursue my love and passion towards belly dancing.

  • I had never deepen into rhythms like that before, I'm really happy I had the chance to learn so much about musicality because I think it will help me to become a better teacher. I really appreciated all the examples of the combos on rhythms and instruments, I believe it enlarged my knowledge a lot

  • This course was extremely helpful towards learning how to dance by truly listening to music and trusting yourself to perform to the melody and rhythm. I loved understanding to listen to the instruments and what movements go best with these. I also enjoyed the homework's that made us look back at the previous learning material and apply it to the task. I believe my level before and after the course has improved drastically since I can now listen to the melody, rhythm, instruments and can now trust myself to perform, to let go a bit and trust my intuition. New theoretical and practical I got was all the different techniques, rhythms, instruments' names and sounds; more importantly how to dance to each one of these instruments, melodies and rhythms. Loved this course so much and how much of a better dancer it has made me. Thank you Anastasia, you've been an amazing teacher! ❤️

  • I found the course very usefull, I didn't know all the different rythms in oriental music and i learnt a lot. I know see the difference in the rythms and I find very interesting the relation with all others dances in the world. I really liked the traditionnal oriental dance and I was looking for a course like this, not a bellydance that we now see nowdays but a traditionnal egyptian dance :) I really like to see all the different instrument and that the accent was also on them. I got a bit more familiar with this beautiful and amazing instrument and i have more pleasure to dance with more rythms on them.

  • This course was super useful to get an insight in the egytian style of dance. I liked most that live music was used. Anastasias explanations were clear and I liked that she always offers different options and variations. I could really experience a level increase in terms of musicality. I learned a lot about which steps can be used for what kind of rhythms.
